A Solution to the Rise of Hair Fall

by Sri Regine Lherisson-Bey

Four months ago, a sixty-something female supermarket greeter was receiving frequent compliments for her four-foot-long hair beautifully flowing over her hips. It was rather unusual to see a humble woman in her sixties sporting hair that looked so attractive. Barely two days ago, the woman was seen with recently cut shoulder-length hair. When asked what had happened to her long hair, she disclosed that due to chemical styling, it had turned dull, dry, and was falling at such an alarming rate that she had no choice but to have 70% of its length cut.

This woman has plenty of company: an increasing number of humans – male and female, including young people — are now struggling with hair loss, also known as alopecia. When this condition strikes, hair follicles shrink and have a reduced ability to connect the hair shaft to the scalp. Brushing and combing then result in consistently thinning hair, and in many cases, complete baldness. Alopecia primarily affects the hairs on the scalp and eyebrows.

There are various reasons for hair loss. Some of them are:
  • Inflammation that entails systemic overheating, and vital organs deficiency: stagnant Liver and devitalized Kidney qi (Chi energy), as evidenced by Taoist Medicine.
  • Oxidative stress accelerating the aging process.
  • Chemical assaults from hair care products, namely hair dyes and straighteners, along with heat-based styling tools. This leads to the destruction of hair follicles and hair shafts.
  • Endocrine dysfunction.
  • Poor nutrition, hyperacidity, demineralization, and alcoholism.
  • Degenerative illness.
  • Lack of sleep.
  • Environmental toxicity, including electromagnetic frequencies and excessive exposure to wii-fi-powered electronics, particularly cellular phones.
  • Heredity.
  • and more…

Alopecia is undeniably on the rise. Most companies that are part of the industrial-cosmetic-pharmaceutical complex are now marketing their hair care products under the caption of “hair loss preventative” or “hair regrowth” essentials.

In reality, the industrial-cosmetic-pharmaceutical complex is very much responsible for rising hair loss. The labels on hair care products are showing an increasingly longer list of petrochemicals. In my book How to Detoxify Your LIfe Naturally, I demonstrate the harmful effects of harsh chemicals found in cosmetics and personal care products. Most of these chemicals are known neurotoxins, carcinogens, and endocrine disruptors. Toxic ingredients of this kind should not be near human tissues unless it is for the purpose of embalming dead bodies. The existence of the said chemicals has been found to be more profit-driven than intended for the enhancement of anybody’s health or bodily assets.

It is simply ironic to realize that the manufacturers that have been contributing to the hair loss issue happen to be the same ones promoting alopecia solutions with nothing but… more synthetic products made of hazardous petrochemicals. Industry researchers have revealed that safety tests are performed for only 1% of the 84,000 petroleum-based chemicals used in the personal care industry.

There is a growing movement toward opting for more natural personal care. Countless people are searching for, discovering, testing, implementing, and sharing alternatives to toxic synthetic by-products such as BPA in hair care. Aware and awake earthlings are choosing to get the alopecia issue under control rather than being at the mercy of the petrochemical industry now offering purported solutions at speeding inflationary costs.

For anyone and the interested parties who have asked about alopecia in search of solutions, and shared their personal concerns, the following formula can be helpful in halting or reversing hair loss.

Non-Toxic Conditioning Hair Wash

1/3 cup milk: either coconut or cow’s, or soy (moisturizes, nourishes, and cleanses)
1 tbsp honey (moisturizes, nourishes, and cleanses)
1 tbsp aloe vera gel / or aloe vera juice (restores and promotes shine)
1 tbsp coconut oil (nourishes and cleanses)
1 tbsp coconut water (restores and nourishes)
1 tbsp rose water (for cellular regeneration and pleasant scent)
3 drops Rosemary essential oil (for hair regrowth and strengthening of follicles)
3 drops Tea Tree oil (anti-fungal agent and pleasantly scented follicles protector)

Optional:
3 tbsp Castile soap
3 drops essential oils of Jasmine, or Ylang Ylang, or Patchouli, or Rose, or Palmarosa, or Cedar.
1 tbsp He Shou Wu extract.

Any large amount left unused can be frozen for future use.

“Let food be thy medicine and thy personal care essential.”

As people are becoming more aware of the damaging effects of petrochemicals on their hair and scalp, it is very likely that one day, the hair care industry might be labeled the ‘hair loss industry’.
