UV Light for Hospital Grade Disinfection at Home

In times of contagion, it is easy for one person to contaminate others around them, especially when airborne pathogens are at play. At this time when everyone in the world is in the thick of a pandemic, one cannot be too cautious when it comes to protecting the self and loved ones from germs and viruses. While the world is under viral threat, ultraviolet light (UV light) disinfection can come to the rescue.

Wherever there are living beings, there exist trillions of pathogens that cause diseases. Whether the living beings are humans or animals, they are all prey to the trillions of germs that lurk within and around them.

It is shocking to realize how many people are not aware that leaving a toilet lid up when flushing is unsanitary. It is so because the flushing process involves high water pressure generating millions of micro-droplets of water in contact with contaminated human waste. The water projects at least 30 feet away. As the droplets fall on the toothbrushes, grooming items, bath towels, and bath mats that are in the bathroom, contamination occurs. Two or more people using the same bathroom multiple times a day become hazardous vectors of disease to each other by recycling each other’s bacteria.

The function of bacteria is to generate health issues. When people perform unsavory stunts such as wiping their face and body with bathroom towels infected with fecal bacteria from dirty water droplets, they cause diseases for themselves. At times, when a pink eye manifests itself, just like they do for the common cold, individuals blame it on the weather. This way, one avoids taking responsibility for any unsanitary behavior. It is important to connect the dots between unhygienic practices and the symptoms that ensue.

The simple act of keeping the toilet lid down during and after flushing can keep germs away. This also goes with the meticulous disinfection of the toilet itself and the cleaning of one’s hands.

(For additional information, see pages 44 and 45 of my book HOW TO DETOXIFY YOUR LIFE NATURALLY: II Practice conscientious hygiene – At home  and in public).

Regular and thorough handwashing — an elementary practice — should be rendered automatic in the toddler years.

UV light disinfection offers the following advantages:

  • Effectiveness: research studies have shown that in hospitals and operating rooms, UV light reduces pathogens by up to 99.9%.
  • Safety: UV light from sanitation devices is comparable to UV ray emissions from sunlight. Even though UV rays destroy pests such as dust mites, the emissions are safe for humans and animals.
  • Environmental friendliness: UV rays used for disinfection are harmless to the ecosystem. Unlike harsh industrial chemicals and toxic compounds, UV light is non-toxic to the environment.
  • Ease of operation: each UV light device has an easy one-click system for their mode of operation.

UV light technology is capable of performing hands-off disinfection tasks in quick, effective, and thorough ways.

The devices featured in this post have been engineered to thoroughly deactivate pathogens, viruses, bacteria, and all micro-organisms that are harmful to humans, pets, and plants. UV light also helps control odor, especially in areas where infants and invalids have their soiled diapers changed.

Quite often, cell phones frequently used throughout the day and evening carry as many germs as diapers. If the phones happen to change hands a few times during the day, it is essential for the users to decontaminate the devices.

More than before, professional people, especially in the medical establishment and food industry, have increasing concerns about cross-contamination. The concerns are fully justified for people who make a living providing care for others within their homes or at their workplace. This is one of the reasons why hospitals are using UV light more than ever before.

Whether one lives or works alone or in groups, the practice of utmost sanitation with regularity and conscientiousness shows respect for the self and others.

In the world, however, not everybody cares enough to show respect for the self and others by being sanitary. (see HOW TO DETOXIFY YOUR LIFE NATURALLY, p. 6: One unit contaminates the whole).

Even today, many people still have to be reminded to wash their hands! Countless people do not wash their hands before touching food or eating. Some humans do not even bother to wash and sanitize their hands after excreting waste. (On p. 82 of HOW TO DETOXIFY YOUR LIFE NATURALLY, read about the hidden but alarming facts regarding low sanitation in the segment entitled: Resistance to hygiene contributes to toxicity).

Being around people with lax preferences in sanitation is a compelling reason to secure an ultraviolet light device.

On page 49 of HOW TO DETOXIFY YOUR LIFE NATURALLY, I demonstrate how dust mites feed off the dust that accumulates on surfaces in homes and vehicles. The dust consists of millions of dead skin cells that everyone sheds daily. When dust mites are inhaled, they cling to the nostrils’ hairs and travel to the lungs. Mites can cause serious health problems such as asthma, allergies, and other chronic issues.

In my book, besides addressing dust mites, I also show how to neutralize all types of contaminants such as mold, mildew, parasites, and countless organisms that contribute to illness because of their toxicity. The importance of sanitation and detoxification for self-protection cannot be emphasized enough.

Thorough sanitation is time-consuming. Busy people and the elderly are always looking to effectively sanitize their living space in ways that do not use excessive amounts of their time and energy. For individuals on a restricted budget, usually, one concern is that hiring a cleaning professional on a regular basis may become an expensive proposition over time.

Because UV light sanitizes and de-contaminates effectively and by itself, it can be an ideal way to disinfect one’s living space and workplace as exhaustively and frequently as hospitals do.
